Weekly Update June 3rd

After a couple of weeks with my head down (finishing up a project and helping my parents move), I've got an update for you.

Top of the morning, everyone and thank you for tuning in. This is Ryan Kirk, and I'm recording this today on June 3rd, 2022. It is crazy to believe that half of the year is already in the bag.

In terms of an update, I have to apologize that I have not been getting these out as weekly as I would have liked. But I will confess that the last two weeks or so I have been hard at work on finishing up a secret project that I am, hopefully going to be able to unveil sometime before the end of 2022.

But that project is now done. It is sent off to the people that needs to be sent off to. And so I am back to a more normal schedule now.

Priority number one for the month of June is going to be finishing the edits on the sequel to Path of the Eternal Sun, the story that I have been co-writing with Taylor Crook.

That will be fun, but the other big project is going to be starting the next Last Sword in the West novel. I will be putting the first words on the page next week and I'm very excited to see how long this first draft takes me.

I am still debating a little bit how long the Last Sword in the West series is going to go. But it has been one of my favorite sets of stories to write, and I am excited to share with you Tomas' next adventure. So that's it for this week. I hope everyone is doing well. I know here in my neck of the woods, weather has finally started to feel like summer, so I expect that I will be getting outside as much as possible.
